Sound Effects Database

This week, as a group, we started to record the sound effects for our radio drama from the Internet on the sound effects database. Instead of YouTube, we have decided to record our sound effects from the sound effects database to make our radio drama sound more accurate and professional. Here is the link we used to receive simple sound effects such as; birds chirping, sounds of traffic to portray a loud environment and the sound of the door slamming shut. http://www.findsounds.com/ We started to record our sound effects on the 22nd o January, we decided to record the sound effects first, so afterwards we could start recording our actual script and then edit our speech with the sound effects from the radio sound effects database. After transforming all the sounds from the database from the audio recorder given to us to the laptop onto garage band, we will then edit these sound effects on garage band and will then start to record our script for our radio drama. Basically, this week we have started to look at the sound affects database and have managed to record it onto the audio recorder.

In my questionaires; I have includes a variety of questions, both open and closed, to contribute many opinions and views based on Radio Drama and how it affects the public in many ways. I've also noted down the main points of my Radio Drama which helped me, in terms of research. Notes would subsist of the codes and conventions related to my radio drama, as a whole; such as sound effects and the stucture of the drama itself. The different types of genres and themes involved along the process of creating my radio drama. Also, the industry in particular and how radio drama was dominated at a time and the different types of stations which subscribed to Radio Dramas such as the BBC. I've also written down a mind map, in depth, of many ideas which helped me decide on a final verdict; a chosen idea. My final idea is based on gay relationships; once I finally chosen an issue; I also jotted down main points; such as, my target audience, how the sound effects will portray a realistic atmosphere and different types of genres and themes within my radio drama.
